Overview
We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Bricklayer to join our team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in bricklaying, with the ability to work effectively with various materials and tools. This role requires precision, attention to detail, and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship on residential and commercial projects.
Responsibilities
Construct, repair, and maintain structures made of brick, block, and other masonry materials. Lay bricks according to specifications and building codes, ensuring proper alignment and level. Use hand tools and power tools effectively, including chisels, trowels, mixers, and saws. Collaborate with other tradespeople such as carpenters and roofers to complete projects efficiently. Interpret blueprints and drawings to determine project requirements.. Maintain a clean and safe work environment Assist in the training of apprentices or less experienced workers when required.
Requirements
Proven experience as a Brick Mason or in a similar role within the construction industry. Strong knowledge of masonry techniques, materials, and tools. Proficiency in using power tools and hand tools related to masonry work. Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprints accurately. Physical stamina and strength to perform manual tasks for extended periods. Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail. A valid driving licence is preferred but not essential.
